I wondered if I would ever share this part of Remi’s story with the public. But with all that is occurring in today’s world I think now is the right time to approach such a hard topic. When we found out we were pregnant with our miracle child, the doctors did not see a miracle in the beginning. They saw a “health risk”. The first doctor we saw pressured me very heavily to get an abortion. Telling me again and again how abortion is a privilege, that would soon be taken from Oklahoman’s. I was reminded at my first few visits that as a woman I must fight for my body! Reminded that my body had cancer in it at one point, that my body isn’t very healthy, that I’m covered in scar tissue, that I could hemorrhage to death! The doctor thought she was warning me of all the devil could do, but really all she did was remind me of what my all mighty powerful father had already done. Because despite not having the ability to conceive, despite not having a healthy body, and all the odds stacked against us, my son lives! That is a miracle, not a curse! Maybe you are someone who has all the odds against you, and the voices in your life aren’t speaking life into you. Just remember who God is, remember his word is the life and truth you need. No other voice can shake the foundations of your life except the voice of God! God alone gets the final say. We serve a wonderful working God who produces miracles out of the impossible and all he needs from you is faith. If you or someone you know is considering abortion, take a moment to cry out to Jesus, consider how he held that beautiful tiny soul inside his hands counting every single strand of hair, numbering them and remembering them. Consider how God created a plan, and a blueprint of life for your little baby, a purpose. Consider the innocence of that little baby who is tucked safely inside your womb as refuge from this wicked world and all its elements, you are that little babies total defense and source of safety, and God is yours. Trust him. Choose life.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jeremiah 1:5 KJV Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Psalm 18:4-7 KJV
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
